Nippon Ichi Software America (NIS America) has announced the release of RPG Maker With Player, a free demo for their upcoming game development software, RPG Maker With. The demo is now available on the Nintendo Switch platform, with the full version of RPG Maker With set to launch on 11 October 2024. PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions will follow in 2025 – presumably with a demo of their own sometime in the future.
RPG Maker With Player allows users to experiment with the game’s creation tools and play user-created games without charge. It also includes two sample games available for download from today. Once the full game releases in October, players will be able to download and play user-created content shared via RPG Maker With.
To support new users, NIS America has joined Game8 in launching a Beginner’s Wiki, which provides detailed instructions on using RPG Maker With‘s tools, from creating a game in 10 minutes to more advanced features for experienced creators. This resource is available alongside the demo to help players get the most out of their game development experience.
RPG Maker With is scheduled for release on the Nintendo Switch on 11 October 2024, with PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 releases coming in 2025.
