Seven Seas Entertainment has announced the release of limited Special Edition versions for three danmei/Boys’ Love novels originally published in Chinese. These include Run Wild: Sa Ye Vol. 1 by Wu Zhe, Legend of Exorcism Vol. 1, and Dinghai Fusheng Records Vol. 1 by Fei Tian Ye Xiang. Following the success of their Special Edition finales for other danmei titles, Seven Seas is now extending these editions to the first volumes of selected series.
These limited Special Editions will be available in large-trim, illustrated paperback editions as part of the Seven Seas Danmei Label. Run Wild: Sa Ye Vol. 1 will be released in January 2025, Legend of Exorcism Vol. 1 in February 2025, and Dinghai Fusheng Records Vol. 1 in May 2025, each priced at $29.99 USD / $39.99 CAD.

Run Wild: Sa Ye Vol. 1
In Run Wild: Sa Ye, two disaffected young men in a desolate northern town find their lives transformed through an unexpected connection. Jiang Cheng, a 17-year-old sent to live with his estranged father, meets Gu Fei, a boy his age with whom he forms a reluctant bond. Set against the backdrop of a bleak, snow-covered town, their story explores themes of isolation and the search for warmth in unexpected places. The Special Edition includes the Standard Edition along with bonus merchandise such as a double-sided bookmark, a lined notebook, polaroids of the main characters, and a sticker sheet.
Legend of Exorcism Vol. 1
Set in ancient China, Legend of Exorcism follows Kong Hongjun, a half-yao who leaves his mystical home to join the Great Tang Exorcism Department in the capital city of Chang’an. Under the command of the unlucky General Li Jinglong, Hongjun must conceal his identity while working with a group of enigmatic exorcists to protect the city from evil spirits. The Special Edition features a double-sided bookmark, a lined notebook, a set of five trading cards, and a sticker sheet, in addition to the Standard Edition.
Dinghai Fusheng Records Vol. 1
Dinghai Fusheng Records is a historical fantasy set in the same universe as Legend of Exorcism. It follows Chen Xing, the last remaining exorcist, as he embarks on a perilous journey to prevent the destruction of the world. Accompanied by Xiang Shu, a death row convict with a dark past, Chen Xing must confront powerful forces intent on bringing calamity to the world. The Special Edition includes the Standard Edition with bonus items such as a double-sided bookmark, a lined notebook, a set of five trading cards, and a sticker sheet.
