Developer Pastagames, in collaboration with publisher Devolver Digital, has revealed the release date for their upcoming cooperative platformer game, KarmaZoo. The game is slated to launch on November 14 for various platforms including PS5, Xbox Series S|X, PC, and Nintendo Switch, at a price of $14.50 AUD or local equivalent.
KarmaZoo sets itself up as revolving around the theme of cooperation and helping one another. Players are encouraged to form connections with randomly chosen online players, all working towards a shared objective of accumulating the in-game currency, Karma.
Players, in teams of up to 10, will navigate a range of levels that adjust according to the team’s size, chosen characters, and collective decisions on in-game perks. This dynamic design ensures that each gameplay experience offers a unique challenge that are never quite the same, with both the players’ choices and the game’s mechanics constantly evolving.
The game emphasises the importance of unity and capitalizing on individual character strengths. Players may even find themselves making sacrifices for the team’s overall benefit. Actions taken during gameplay, whether big or small, contribute to a player’s Karma. Accumulated Karma can then be used to unlock additional characters and abilities, adding further layers to the gameplay.
KarmaZoo aims to support 22 languages and cross-platform play between PC and console versions. Additionally, private lobbies have been integrated, allowing players to enjoy the game exclusively with their friends
