A New Gameplay Trailer Shares Extended Look at Digimon Survive

On 29 July 2022, Bandai Namco Entertainment will be publishing 'Digimon Survive' on a range of consoles, marking the latest release in many surprisingly memorable instalments in the series in recent years. A hybrid visual novel and tactical RPG experience rather than a fully-fledged RPG, the question is whether the storyline and gameplay can both shine. About the Gameplay Trailer

The World Map will help players explore their surroundings, with lots of important interactions between Takuma, his friends and their Digimons. Choices will matter as they can have an impact not only on the story and the fate of some characters, but also on how some Digimon evolve.

Interactions will also prove useful in during Battle, as players will be able to encourage their Digimon to give them boosts and advantages, and try to talk to enemy Digimons with a chance to recruit them in their team. During these battles, positioning will be important to get an advantage, as well as the use of items and skill to survive in this mysterious world. Finally, Digivolutions will play an important role giving strong boosts to Digimons and turn the tide in battles.

Digimon Survive sees a brand-new group of teenagers, led by Takuma Momozuka, get lost on a school camping trip, finding them transported to a strange new world of monsters and danger.

As they fight their way back home through an animated world of difficult decisions and deadly battles, players’ choices throughout the game will impact the evolution of their monster allies, and the final ending.

Digimon Survive Release Information

Published by Bandai Namco Entertainment and developed by HYDE, Digimon Survive will be available from 29 July 2022 natively on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC – with backwards compatibility available on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
