Launch in September 2019, Ubisoft+ is a subscription service akin to Xbox Game Pass or EA Play, where players pay a certain amount each month to have an on-demand access to a library of games. From those run by major console manufacturers, it typically covers a library of first and third party times, while those for publishers tend to cover a broader selection of works from their entire library of games. After being on the PC for more than two years now, Ubisoft has today confirmed that Ubisoft+ will be added to the Xbox platform in the future.
As of writing, Ubisoft+ offers players access to make than 100 Ubisoft titles, in addition to a range of their latest releases, DLC and classic games.
By making Rainbow Six Extraction available to Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass members on the day and date of its launch, we’re demonstrating that we believe in the value and choice that game subscriptions offer to players. Rainbow Six Extraction for Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass members is just the beginning. Ultimately, we will offer the Ubisoft+ subscription service to Xbox owners so that they can enjoy the full extent of our Ubisoft+ game library, including new releases, on their consoles.

An exact Xbox release date for Ubisoft+ has not been confirmed outside of it being “in the future”. But in the interim, Ubisoft has confirmed that Rainbow Six Extraction will be a day one addition for Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass members, allowing them to play on Xbox consoles and PC right from the game’s launch on January 20. It is unclear how the range of Ubisoft titles currently available via Xbox Game Pass will be impacted by this news.
