The producers of major musicals across Australia may not be as well known as they should be unless you read your programs, but from The Gordon Frost Organisation to Michael Cassel Group – these are the companies behind productions you will regularly see at the QPAC Lyric Theatre, Sydney Lyric and Capitol Theatres and many of Melbourne’s major musical theatre venues.
The big names have typically been active in the country for some time without major change… but one has opted to change their name.
It has been confirmed that The Gordon Frost Organisation has now been integrated into the CXL Brand, and will henceforth go by the name Crossroads Live Australia. This announcement aligns with the one in the United Kingdom where David Ian Productions will now be known as Crossroads Live UK.
While time will tell what impact this will have (if any) on productions in Australia, this does mean that Crossroads Live now has principal offices in Los Angeles, London and Australia – and hopefully this could mean that some major productions could head our way sooner, without the long waits we usually have to endure over here.
