Following the games PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita releases earlier this year, video game publisher Marvelous have released Fate/EXTELLA onto the PC (via Steam) and the Nintendo Switch.
The Nintendo Switch version is now available both physically and digitally with an MSRP of $59.99 USD. Although the main story will be the same, this version does come with over 30 previously-released paid DLC costumes on-disc, along with an exclusive new ‘Unshacked Bride’ outfit.
The PC version on the other hand is only available through Steam as a standalone digital release, priced at $49.99, €49.99, and £39.99.
Fate/EXTELLA is a hack ‘n’ slash instalment in the much wider Fate media franchise, which expands visual novels, video games, anime and more. This is a sequel of sorts to the RPG Fate/Extra, published in English many years ago by Aksys Games on the PSP, and not released on any other platforms since. Extella features 16 playable servants – ancient warriors of legend and imagination, always at the beck and call of their Masters – who survived the Holy Grail War that took place on the Moon.
Taking place in the world of the lunar supercomputer “Moon Cell Automaton”, these servants battle for dominance over this digital realm, known as SE.RA.PH. Players will experience the game from the perspectives of three factions looking to control this world.
