2K Games were forced to announce a couple of days ago that their heavily promoted “Big Alpha” for Evolve would be without the PlayStation 4 due to an issue with regards to the recent 2.0 console update. The company have claimed that after exploring all available solutions, they have been able to address the majority of issues facing the alpha client on the console.

The alpha test will once again begin rolling on the the PlayStation 4 to registered participants, with the testing phase now being extended until Tuesday, November 4 at 12:00 PM PST (8:00 PM UTC).

As the purpose of Alpha testing is to analyse and troubleshoot any issues that are faced, these sorts of issues are likely to happen. They have also acknowledged that while internal testing shows a majority of PS4 matches are completed successfully, some interruptions and issues still affect the PS4 Evolve experience. Data collected will, of course, be used to deliver a better experience come the game’s February 2015 launch.
