Pokemon Bank / Pokemon Transporter 3DS Apps Set to Launch Just Before End of the Year

The Pokemon Company International have just announced that The Pokemon Bank, a subscription based Pokemon storage app for the Nintendo 3DS console which will allow trainers to store their Pokemon online and be able to efficiently switch them between Generation V and VI games will be available for purchase worldwide from the 27th December 2013.

To be more specific, some of the promoted features are:

  • Deposit, withdraw, and manage up to 3,000 Pokémon in private boxes online through an internet connection
  • Transfer Pokémon from multiple copies of Pokémon X and Pokémon Y, including the downloadable versions, using one Nintendo 3DS system
  • Transfer Pokémon from Pokémon Black, Pokémon WhitePokémon Black 2, and Pokémon White 2 to Pokémon X and Pokémon Y using the Poké Transporter, a linked application received when you download Pokémon Bank

If you download the Pokemon Bank app alongside its linked application the Pokemon Transporter between its launch and the 31st January 2014 will receive a complementary 30 day trial. After this time period, the service will cost you $4.99 per year, and should support future games whenever they are published in 2014 and beyond.
