MangaGamer has announced that the uncensored English language edition of the visual novel SLEEPLESS – A Nocturne is scheduled for release later this month. Developed by Empress, the title will be available for purchase on 29 January 2026 via Steam and the official MangaGamer online store.
This release serves as a sequel to the previously localized title, SLEEPLESS – A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The project is helmed by Sei Shoujo, who serves as both the writer and illustrator – following on from their previous works such as Bible Black and STARLESS. MangaGamer has noted that the version available on their own storefront will be the fully uncensored edition, while the Steam version will have some amendments (and warnings) to make it available on the digital marketplace.
The narrative follows two college students, Kawai Tomoki and Komori Yukino. While out on a date, the pair experience car trouble and are forced to abandon their vehicle to seek assistance. This search leads them to the isolated Black Rose Manor. Inside, they encounter the estate’s mistress, Mamiya Marie, along with her daughter Maria and the maid Aria. The couple also meets a mysterious pink-haired girl with cat ears named Takamizawa Rui.
