Publisher JAST has announced that pre-orders are now open for the visual novel My Little Sister Is an Angel. Developed by ALcot Honey Comb, a subsidiary of the Japanese developer ALcot, the title is currently scheduled for release in early 2026 as an 18+ title.
Known in Japan by the titles Kanojo wa Tenshi de Imouto de or “Imoten”, this release features a scenario written by Seo Jun. Visual novel enthusiasts may recognize Jun from previous works including Clover Day’s, Shunki Gentei Poco a Poco!, and SenrenBanka*. The game’s visual identity is helmed by artists Coffee Neko and Mutou Kurihito, while Aona Masao has contributed chibi illustrations.
The narrative centers on protagonist Nishina Yuki, an introvert with famous parents who wishes to avoid the spotlight. His life is disrupted following an encounter with an angel who asks him if he wishes to try becoming a god. Yuki is subsequently appointed as an “Angel Candidate” and his reality is altered; the angel uses her abilities to modify the memories of those around them, inserting herself into his life as his younger sister.
As Yuki navigates this new dynamic, he is mentored by two classmates: a school idol who is secretly an angel, and a genius student who is actually a shinigami. The story explores his path to godhood and his relationships with these three characters, alongside a childhood friend who becomes jealous of the new arrangement.
JAST has confirmed several key features for the upcoming release, which include:
- Full Japanese voice acting for all characters, with the exception of the protagonist.
- Individual volume sliders allowing players to adjust audio levels for each of the four main heroines.
- A fully customizable key and button configuration.
- A branching narrative structure shaped by player choices, leading to four distinct endings.
- A system allowing players to jump directly into a heroine’s route from the main menu after it has been unlocked.
Do keep in mind that this is an adults-only release, and does feature adult content only suitable for those aged 18+ – including nudity with no mosaics.
