Confirming plans to bring a range of new Japanese visual novel titles to the western market, MangaGamer have used an opportunity at Otakon 2016 to confirm six new titles and two new partners. For more information on each of the games, keep reading on:
Hapymaher
Hapymaher comes from Purple Software, and is their first game to be published by MangaGamer in western markets.

A Kiss for The Petals: New Generation!
New Generation is the next instalment in the A Kiss for the Petals visual novel franchise from developer St. Michaels.
The girls of Saint Michael’s annex have always admired and looked up to lovely young ladies of the main campus. So naturally, they blossom with newfound excitement when they hear of the main campus’ Best Couples poll. Though eager to cast their votes, it also makes them wonder–who are the Best Couples of the annex? This brand-new title in the Petals franchise introduces a trio of new couples with love blooming in the air.
Sorcery Jokers
Next on offer is Sorcery Jokers, a visual novel from MangaGamer’s new partner – 3rd Eye. This title was the winner of the 2015 Moe Game Awards for Scenario, and will be headed to western markets in the future through both the MangaGamer website and Steam.

Gahkthun of the Golden Lighting–Sona-nyl of the Violet Shadows
MangaGamer have confirmed their acquisition of another major title from Liarsoft. This time around they have confirmed that work is underway on Gahkthun of the Golden Lighting–Sona-nyl of the Violet Shadows, the fifth entry in Liarsoft’s Steampunk Series.
The story unfolds from the perspectives of two women:Â One who travels through the ruins of Engine City New York, destroyed in an unexplained disaster some years before; and one who finds herself in an underground world with a purple sky, where the “vanished” city still stands.
The central focus of the tale is Lily, a girl devoid of memories who sets off through the bizarrely transformed “Underground New York.” Driven by her determination to reach the “ends of the sky,” she travels through this dangerous world accompanied by an enigmatic young man known as A. In the course of her long and difficult journey, they meet many of the city’s inhabitants, and fend off the attacks of strange and terrifying monsters.
What lies at the end of the road Lily travels? How is she connected to the woman exploring the ruins on the surface? And why was New York destroyed?
Rance VI and Rance 5D
The company’s fifth and six announcements both relate to the long-time Japanese visual novel development company Alicesoft. MangaGamer have confirmed that both Rance VI and Rance 5D will be headed to western markets in the near future. These games will be sold as part of a duo-bundle this Winter, priced at $34.95.
In Rance 5D, a standalone episode in the series, Rance goes adventuring with his slave girl, Sill, and his pet, Athena 2.0, in order to recoup all the money he’s blown! Their travels lead them down a dungeon where they get lost and wander into a mysterious town full of youkai! Together they go dungeon crawling, face dice battles, capture female monsters, recruit and train the monsters they capture, all just to try and get home!Â
In Rance VI, Rance travels to the magical Kingdom of Zeth with Sill to take a job. However, In Zeth, mages are considered superior and all others treated as second class citizens! Indignant at his imprisonment and the discrimination turned toward him, Rance joins the resistance to lead Zeth to a revolution! With just cause on his side, Rance sets out to punish the evil mages who scorned him and expand his ever-growing harem!
