One of the perks about the Kickstarter service is not only being able to help source funds from the community to help fund an up and coming titles development, but also providing exposure to some very unique and niche titles. One of these recent finds has been the crowdfunding campaign for My Little Dictator, which the developer War Girl Games have described as a “romantic-comedy battle visual novel set in fictional WW2 Europe“.

The game / visual is being promoted as containing many hours of gameplay, anime-style artwork and cuter versions of individuals from both sides during WW2. The main storyline route in this fame follows Hitora, the leader of Germania, who dreams to unique all of Europa under the one banner. To do this, she aims to defeat the three European allies: Britannia, Franzo and Sovia. While serving as a traditional visual novel as pictured in the image above, the game will also feature an RPG battle system with map elements. More details on the gameplay system is available through the official My Little Dictator Kickstarter page.

With 26 days to go, they have only reached £486 of their £5,000 minimum goal, so they have quite a ways to go until reaching their target. If they do manage to reach their target, they are offering the three below stretch goals:

£6500 – More CGs, cutscenes and romantic scenarios will be added to better enhance the storyline, along with a completely original soundtrack

£8000 – Voice-acting will be added and the game will be separately ported to iOS and Android platforms

£10,000+ – Animated OP and ED, and a fully expanded route for Starin

Will we see My Little Dictator succeed or will it fall like many other Kickstarter’s have in the past? We shall find out when the campaign ends in the new year!
