Date Everything!, the dating sim where household objects become romance options, has now sold more than one million copies worldwide since launching in June 2025. Developer Sassy Chap Games is marking the milestone with a charity livestream supporting The Trevor Project and Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières). Published by team17, Date Everything! features more than 100 voice actors, including Felicia Day, Johnny Yong Bosch and Matthew Mercer.
Robbie Daymond, co-creator of Date Everything! and CEO of Sassy Chap Games, thanked the team and the game’s fans for reaching the milestone.
A million copies sold is a truly unbelievable milestone for all of the talented artists and designers who poured their hearts and souls into this game to make it what it is. As co-creator of Date Everything! and CEO of Sassy Chap Games, I couldn’t be more proud of our team or more grateful to the legions of passionate fans who made this possible. Thank you for trusting us with your energy, hard-earned support and precious gaming time. We love you!
The livestream will bring together the game’s creators, talent and fans, and runs on Wednesday 18 November from 6pm to 9pm PT, which is 1pm to 4pm AEDT on Thursday 19 November 2026. It will be streamed on the official Date Everything! Instagram, Twitch and TikTok channels.
Ray Chase, co-creator of Date Everything! and Chief Creative Officer of Sassy Chap Games, said the community’s response inspired the studio to give back.
I’m so overwhelmed with love with the response from our community, so it felt important to give back. This game succeeded far beyond our wildest dreams! Seeing all the fan art, fan-fic, and continued word of mouth well over a year after release feels like wind in our sails.
The studio sees the game’s success as a sign that its approach to creator-led games can work, bringing creators and communities together to build original characters and worlds that could expand beyond a single game. Sassy Chap Games, which is represented by Creative Artists Agency (CAA), is now looking at bringing its worlds and characters into other forms of entertainment, products and new storytelling experiences, while also developing new titles.
COO Logan Burdick said Date Everything! demonstrates what creator-led games can achieve.
We believe the next generation of beloved characters and worlds will come from creator-led games. Date Everything! shows the power of that vision. By bringing together an extraordinary community of creators around original stories, we’ve shown that this approach can lead to real commercial success while building the kind of passionate, engaged audience that the most resonant entertainment brands are built upon.
Julie Thompson, Director of Development & Production, said there is still more to come, both for Date Everything! and for the studio’s new projects.
Watching a community fall in love with a world and make it their own is something truly magical. There’s still so much we’d love to explore with Date Everything!, and we’re just as excited about the new characters, stories, and entirely different worlds we’re bringing to life. We’re carrying that same spirit of creativity, connection, and a little bit of chaos into our next chapter.
