The first post-launch update for Halloween: The Game is now available. IllFonic, together with co-publisher Gun Interactive and partners Compass International Pictures and Further Front, has released the update, which adds a free new map called “Tower Farm” along with paid DLC including two Michael skins, two playable Civilians and a set of Halloween costumes. It is the first of many planned content updates for the game.
Tower Farm is the game’s fifth map and takes its inspiration from Halloween 5. Instead of suburban cul-de-sacs, the 1v4 hunt now plays out in a small farming community on the outskirts of Haddonfield. Worn country roads meet in the centre of town, where a lit filling station acts as a landmark for Civilians, but the open fields and stretches of asphalt around it leave them exposed. Roadside ditches can be used as last-resort hiding spots, and moving between cover becomes a risk.
Farmhouses, barns and sheds take the place of suburban homes, which changes how matches unfold. Michael has new ways to ambush players too, using hay bales, farm equipment and overgrown bushes as cover. The map also includes a harvest festival, a trailer park and pumpkin patches, all set against a sunset.
Jared Gerritzen, Chief Creative Officer at IllFonic, shared the following on the announcement:
There’s no better time than Halloween to send Michael somewhere new. The new map is open, eerie, and free for every player who owns the game. Grab your friends, find a ditch, and pray Michael doesn’t find you!”
For those wanting more, there is also a range of paid DLC. Two Michael skins are available at $9.99 each, based on Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers and Halloween (2018). The mask design was supervised by Academy Award winner Christopher Nelson, who designed the mask for Halloween (2018), Halloween Kills (2021) and Halloween Ends (2022).
The Civilian Characters Pack, priced at $9.99, adds two new playable Civilians, Michelle and Eugene. Civilian Costumes Pack 1, also $9.99, includes Halloween costumes with 14 outfits, one for each character, and 42 tints. The update also comes with free features, fixes and quality-of-life improvements.
Halloween: The Game is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
