The Guild 1 Remake: Europa 1410 will begin Early Access on 17 September with six cities, eight professions and campaigns spanning multiple generations. Developer Ashborne Games has outlined the launch content and its plans for subsequent updates, with multiplayer, expanded combat and additional economic systems scheduled for later stages of development. At launch, players will be able to establish businesses in Graz, Kuttenberg, Nuremberg, Freiburg and Wrocław, with Landsfort Herle serving as the tutorial town. The eight starting professions will be Smith, Tailor, Joiner, Stonemason, Priest, Innkeeper, Alchemist and Perfumer.
Running a business involves managing and expanding workshops and hiring workers, but maintaining a dynasty requires attention beyond the workplace. Players can court, marry and have heirs, allowing a campaign to continue across generations as descendants take over from its founding character. Political office offers another route to influence. Befriending, bribing or blackmailing prominent citizens can help players advance through society, eventually gaining a say in construction projects, city walls, infrastructure and laws.
English and German localisation will be available at the start of Early Access. Further languages planned to follow include French, Spanish, Polish, Czech, Simplified Chinese and Russian.
Ashborne Games intends to release regular updates throughout Early Access, adding content and expanding existing features alongside stability improvements, bug fixes and balancing changes. Its roadmap identifies two major updates before the full release. The first, titled “The Stabby Update: Knives and Swords,” will focus on combat and introduce the Thief, Robber and Guard professions. Players will be able to equip their people to patrol streets, burgle homes and workplaces, or ambush carts outside the city. The update will also revise combat, with duels receiving a substantial overhaul.
Multiplayer will arrive with “The Backstabby Update,” allowing players to cooperate or compete with up to 11 others. Rivalries and alliances between dynasties will accompany cooperative and competitive challenges and victory conditions. That update will also expand the economy, placing greater emphasis on the city’s needs. Supplying goods will help a city prosper, while withholding particular goods will provide another way to pursue personal objectives. A new playable city is also planned for this stage.
The full 1.0 release will build on those economic changes with the Trader and Moneylender professions. Traders will be able to import rare goods for their city or export them to distant markets. Moneylenders will handle the exchange of foreign earnings into local currency for a fee, while loans will provide access to funds that must be repaid on time.
