Reverse: 1999 has begun its third anniversary celebrations with the launch of Version 3.7, “On Another’s Sorrow”, on PC and mobile. The update introduces a new story chapter alongside additional characters, gameplay modes, cosmetics and anniversary rewards. Players who participate during the celebration can claim 67 free summons, 25 Unilog, a selectable 6-Star Artifice, a free 6-Star character, free 5-Star characters and the Fire Lotus Cut-to-fit Garment, among other rewards.
Coppélia, a character created through Manu Vindictae’s rituals, can be obtained simply by logging in during the event period. Players can also earn 5-Star characters Silverwing Eagle and Matilda through in-game events. Version 3.7 also introduces Rhiannon, a 6-Star character who lives in seclusion alongside her flock of Adar Llwch Gwin. Her “A Newly Hatched Chapter” summon event runs from 13 August until 3 September, with players able to obtain a free Decatone by logging in during the event.
A second new 6-Star character, Ms. Stranger, will arrive during Phase 2 from 3 September until 17 September. The spy repeatedly overwrites her own memories while carrying out missions under different identities, and another free Decatone will be available during her banner.
Several new garments are included as part of the anniversary, with outfits available for Nautika, Coppélia, 37 and Spathodea. Spathodea’s Fire Lotus Cut-to-fit Garment can be claimed for free by logging in during the event and remains permanently available after it has been obtained.
Beyond the anniversary rewards, Version 3.7 expands the game’s activities with the resource survival mode Truth a Posteriori and new challenge stages in Focused Flashback. The Syndrome of Silence also continues, while Musae’s Arcade returns with 8-Bit Arcade Remix: Beach Battle. Nautika and Regulus receive new Euphoria enhancements in the update, with Regulus also gaining Photomancy. A new Wilderness theme pack has also been added.
The anniversary celebrations extend beyond the game through a fan Creations Event, with prizes including a Reverse: 1999 themed Alienware gaming laptop, cash prizes, Clear Drops and merchandise. Additional third anniversary merchandise is also available to pre-order through the official store and AmiAmi.
