Nippon Ichi Software America (NIS America) has outlined its plans for PAX West 2026, with the publisher bringing several playable demos, booth activities and two developer panels to the event. Located at Booth #1923 in the Arch Building, the NIS America booth will give attendees the first opportunity in North America to get hands-on with Village in the Shade and GOBBLE. A currently unannounced title will also make its debut during PAX West 2026 and will be playable at the booth. Attendees will also be able to play BRIGANDINE ABYSS, with NIS America running a competition offering exclusive prizes.
Several other activities are planned throughout the event. Visitors can take part in a Prinny toss challenge for prizes and a photo with Prinny, participate in an interactive Village in the Shade photo opportunity, and attend hourly photo sessions with Slumber Cat. Additional exclusive prizes will also be available at the booth.
NIS America will complement its playable lineup with two panels featuring developers and content creators;
The first, titled Dive Into the Abyss with BRIGANDINE ABYSS Producer, will take place on 4 September at 1:30 pm in the Frog Theatre. Producer Masaru Saito will be joined by content creators Valkos Lunari and Veracity Trigger for a discussion covering the game’s systems, story and development, including strategies for players and the process behind creating a sequel within the long-running series.
A second panel, A Chat in the Shade with Village in the Shade’s Game Designer and Development Lead, is scheduled for 5 September at 12:30 pm in the Leaf Theatre. The session will feature game designer Yu Mizokami and development lead Mio Katsumata, who will provide a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of Village in the Shade and its spooky farming simulation setting inspired by rural Japan.
