Following its release on other platforms last year, Bandai Namco Entertainment has made Digimon Story: Time Stranger available on both the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 platforms. Developed by h.a.n.d., Inc., the game was already available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam.
Digimon Story: Time Stranger asts players as an agent of ADAMAS, drawn into a world-entangling event that leaves both the human and digital worlds on the edge of ruin. Averting that outcome involves taming Digimon and working alongside them, with the bonds formed between partners tied to their evolution and to their performance in the game’s strategic, turn-based combat. The story is not confined to one setting either, taking players between the two worlds and across time. More than 450 Digimon can be collected, tamed and fought over the course of the game, which Bandai Namco has pitched as an entry point to the series aimed at RPG players rather than existing Digimon fans.
Those playing on Nintendo Switch 2 are given a choice of two display options. Quality Mode targets 4K HDR at up to 30FPS while docked and Full HD at up to 30FPS in handheld, while Performance Mode runs at Full HD and up to 60FPS in both docked and handheld play.
