The Old Gods take centre stage in Hearthstone, and they are at full strength. The game’s latest expansion, Reign of the Black Empire, is now live, adding 135 new collectible cards built around C’Thun, N’Zoth, Yogg-Saron and Y’Shaarj at the height of their power. Each Old God comes with four unique abilities that can dramatically change the course of a match. There is a catch, though: only one Old God can be included in a deck, so players will need to pick which one suits their strategy.
The expansion also introduces a new keyword, Assemble, which lets players build minions by combining pieces from a curated pool. The result is custom creations that can be tailored to a particular strategy, with plenty of room to discover powerful combinations.
Standing against the Old Gods are the Titan-forged, powerful constructs and ancient defenders created by the Titans to fight the Black Empire. Their cards bring new tools and strategies for taking on the Old Gods and their armies.
Alongside the new cards, Reign of the Black Empire debuts Journey, a new way to experience Hearthstone. Found in the Hearthstone Journal, Journey combines story content, Journey Quests, rewards, events and more into a single campaign that unfolds over the course of an expansion.
