Skybound Entertainment and Quarter Up are preparing to roll out the first major update for Invincible VS, with Season 1 set to launch on 30 June 2026. The update follows several recent reveals for the tag fighting game, including a new Season 1 trailer shown during Evo 2026 and details on the game’s content and competitive plans for the coming months.
Season 1 introduces two new DLC fighters, Universa and The Immortal, alongside a new Endless Arcade mode, additional cosmetics and other updates. Both characters are included as part of the Year 1 Pass, while also being available for purchase.
Universa is described as the Chosen of her people, travelling through space in search of energy to save her dying world. In Invincible VS, she plays as a balanced and technical fighter, becoming more dangerous as her Boost Meter rises. The Immortal, meanwhile, began life as a caveman before discovering an unknown energy source that granted him immortality. Now the leader of the Guardians of the Globe, he joins the game as a Striker Fighter built around aggressive pressure and closing the distance on opponents.
Quarter Up has also outlined its 2026 roadmap for Invincible VS, which will include three seasons and two mid-season patches. Each season is planned to add a new fighter, more cosmetics and additional content.
During Evo 2026, the studio confirmed that Angstrom Levy will be the third DLC fighter for the game. He is scheduled to arrive in October 2026 as part of Season 2, with plans for his playable debut at Evo France. Angstrom is being positioned as a tricky zoner, using portals and projectiles to control fights and frustrate opponents. Season 3 is currently planned for December 2026.
On the competitive side, Quarter Up has detailed a Competitive Support Program and confirmed that Invincible VS will appear at several fighting game events throughout 2026. Upcoming stops include VS Fighting XIV in the United Kingdom from 24 to 26 July, followed by Community Effort Orlando 2026 in August.
