CD Projekt RED and developer WeirdCo have officially launched a Kickstarter campaign for the Cyberpunk Trading Card Game. The project aims to translate the world of the Cyberpunk 2077 video game and the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners animated series into a competitive card game format.
The gameplay revolves around players assembling a crew of edgerunners using characters from across the Cyberpunk media landscape. The objective of each match is to defeat opponents to earn the status of a Night City legend. The cards will feature custom artwork created specifically for this project, rather than using pre-existing game or anime assets.

The debut set, titled Welcome to Night City, is scheduled for release later in 2026. This initial collection will introduce several central figures from the video game, including V, Jackie Welles, Johnny Silverhand, and Judy Álvarez. Following the release of the first set, a second installment is planned to fully integrate characters and themes from the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime.
By supporting the project on Kickstarter, backers can access exclusive rewards not available at general retail. Throughout the duration of the campaign, WeirdCo has stated they will provide regular development updates and solicit feedback from the community to refine the final experience.
As of writing… CD Projekt RED has already exceeded their $100,000 USD pledge goal by 7700%, raising $7,730,000 USD from 9,367 backers. You can back the project yourself by visiting its official Kickstarter page.
