Wise Monkey Entertainment has published new promotional materials for their upcoming title, No Stone Unturned. The studio has released an official game trailer alongside the first entry in a series of development diaries for the comedy noir detective game.
Set to launch on PC later in 2026, No Stone Unturned places players in the role of Detective Cox, a “hardboiled gumshoe” squirrel. The narrative premise begins with a twist on a classic joke, tasking the detective with solving the mystery of why a chicken crossed the road and identifying the driver of the vehicle that caused its untimely death.
The investigation leads players into a world of organized crime populated by various animal characters. Gameplay is set to involve players navigating seedy bars, engaging in staring contests, and pursuing a “fox of interest” known as Big Red. The developers have compared the tone of the mystery to a blend of Agatha Christie novels and the film Hot Fuzz.
In addition to the trailer, the studio released “Detective’s Log #1,” a development update narrated in-character by the protagonist, Detective Cox. This video provides viewers with a look at new animations being implemented into the game and offers behind-the-scenes footage from a recording session for one of the game’s songs.
