Microsoft has announced a new partnership with V, the operating system provider formerly known as VIDAA. This collaboration will see the Xbox app integrated into select Hisense and V homeOS-powered Smart TVs beginning this year..
The integration is designed to provide users with access to Xbox Cloud Gaming directly through their television sets, removing the requirement for a dedicated gaming console. Subscribers to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and Essential will be able to stream a wide range of titles via the app. This functionality extends to both the Game Pass catalogue and select games already owned by the user – although support for the latter category may vary.
Several titles have been highlighted as part of the library to be available to V homeOS users. These include Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, Hollow Knight: Silksong, and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
Lori Wright, Corporate Vice President of Gaming Partnerships and Business Development at Microsoft, addressed the partnership’s focus on expanding accessibility and screen options for the gaming community.
Partnering with V represents another step towards providing freedom and flexibility for players. By expanding Xbox Cloud Gaming to even more screens globally, we’re opening new pathways for discovery, inspiration, and connection to empower players to access the games they love in new ways.
Guy Edri, the CEO of V, also commented on the announcement, noting that the addition of the Xbox app aligns with the company’s goal of delivering premium experiences to their user base.
The integration of the Xbox app on V devices transforms the TV into a powerful gaming hub. We’re proud to bring Xbox’s legendary game catalogue to V users around the world. This launch embodies what V stands for—premium experiences that are fast, simple, and globally accessible.
