Ubisoft and Evil Empire have officially released The Rogue Prince of Persia on both the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. This launch marks the expansion of the title to Nintendo platforms following its previous availability on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 – initially as part of Early Access.
The Rogue Prince of Persia is a 2D action platforming roguelite that emphasizes agility and combat. The newly released Switch versions contain all content included in the game’s 1.0 update. Players can expect to encounter a variety of biomes, a reimagined art direction, and a collection of over 100 weapons and medallions to unlock. The gameplay loop focuses on mastering fluid combat and dynamic parkour moves, such as wall-running, dodging traps, and chaining combos.
While the digital version is available now, a physical release is being handled by publishing partner U&I Entertainment. Physical copies of the Standard and Immortal Editions for Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, and PlayStation 5 are scheduled to arrive on 10 April 2026. The Immortal Edition includes several physical collectibles. It features a premium SteelBook case with a sleeve, a double-sided poster, and a set of fine art cards that piece together to form part of the game’s world map.
Lucie Dewagnier, Game Director at Evil Empire, commented on the Switch releases, noting how the portable nature of the console complements the game’s design.
Bringing The Rogue Prince of Persia to Nintendo Switch is an exciting milestone. Its fast-paced combat and endless replayability make it a natural fit for players who want to experience the adventure anytime, anywhere.
