Ubisoft has announced that Rainbow Six Mobile is scheduled to launch globally on 23 February 2026. The free-to-play tactical shooter will be available on both iOS and Android devices, and follows a soft launch this year to players in Poland, France, Canada and Latin America.
Developed by Ubisoft Montreal, the title seeks to translate the gameplay mechanics of the long-running Rainbow Six franchise to mobile platforms. The core experience centers on 5v5 Player-vs-Player (PvP) matches using the series’ established Attack vs. Defense format.
Matches involve attackers utilizing observation drones to gather intelligence and breaching destructible environments to reach objectives. Conversely, defenders focus on fortifying their positions by barricading entry points and deploying traps and cameras to hinder the opposing team.
The mobile iteration has been built with features specific to the platform in mind, while also seeking to retain as many key elements from the broader Rainbow Six Siege franchise as possible. At launch, players will have access to over 20 operators, including familiar characters such as Ash, Mute and Dokkaebi. The game will feature a variety of modes including Bomb, Bomb Rush and Team Deathmatch.
In terms of environments, the map rotation includes classic locations such as Bank, Border, Clubhouse, Oregon and Villa. These are complemented by new maps designed exclusively for the mobile version, titled Restaurant and Summit. Ubisoft has confirmed that the game will support Private matches, Ranked matches and Quick Play options. To assist new players, an onboarding tutorial covering the fundamentals of the game is included. The publisher plans to support the title with seasonal updates that introduce new content over time.
