Infinity Nikki Rolls Out Version 2.0 “Terra’s Call” Anniversary Update

To coincide with the game’s first anniversary, Infold Games has released their first major substantive x.0 update to Infinity Nikki – tilted Version 2.0: Terra’s Call. The patch aims to introduce players to a substantially expanded take on Miraland, aspiring for a stronger emphasis on open world exploration, expressive play and player driven pacing.

With Version 2.0, Infinity Nikki leans further into its identity as an open world dress up adventure. The update opens the gates to Itzaland, a new large scale map that players can explore alongside the existing regions. Traversal has been given particular attention, with new abilities including gigantification, grappling and low gravity movement, intended to make areas such as jungles and ancient ruins feel more interactive.

Combat systems have also been expanded. A new Archery option aims to increase combat flexibility, integrating combat companions and adaptive energy mechanics. Outside of battles, smaller interactive touches such as wall climbing snails, singing mushrooms and snail drifting are used to add a more playful tone to exploration.

Story structure has been adjusted in hopes of giving players more control over how they move through Miraland. Main and side stories are now freely accessible, allowing players to focus on narrative arcs or spend time roaming the world at their own pace. Fashion remains a core pillar, with new outfit sets including exclusive anniversary and birthday themed designs that continue the series focus on clothing as a storytelling device.

Douhu, Lead Gameplay Systems Design (Outfits) at Infold Games, describes Version 2.0 as a culmination of what the studio has learned so far and where it hopes to go next with the player base.
