Following its previous releases on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S last year, Bandai Namco Entertainment has this week begun offering Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero on the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
The latest entry in the long running anime brawler series developed by Spike Chunsoft, Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero aims to push the arena fighting series forward with lightning paced combat and large, fully destructible environments. Alongside this, players can take on nostalgic single player episode battles, dig into extensive character and loadout customisation, and compete in a variety of online multiplayer modes. Ki based attacks and signature explosive techniques are presented with a focus on replicating the intensity of the anime across each arena.
On Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, the game supports both local and online multiplayer, allowing friends to battle it out on the same system or over the internet. These versions also include motion control support, letting players use the Joy-Con controllers to perform their favourite characters attacks through physical gestures.
Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero includes more than 180 fighters from Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Super, Dragon Ball GT, and selected Dragon Ball films, all available in the base game. Each character has their own move set, transformations, and techniques, encouraging experimentation with different team compositions and strategies.
