Sony Interactive Entertainment Australia has confirmed that Rob Davis, Campaign Director at Sucker Punch Productions, will visit Australia to mark the upcoming launch of Ghost of Yōtei. Davis is scheduled to appear at both PAX Australia and SXSW Sydney, offering behind the scenes insights and live gameplay for local fans.
At PAX Australia, Davis will present a developer session titled From Vision to Vengeance: Creating Ghost of Yōtei on Friday 10 October from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm. The talk will cover the game’s open world design, combat systems and cinematic approach, with a focus on how action, story and visual style were brought together.
He will then head to SXSW Sydney for Ghost of Yōtei: Behind the Blade on Saturday 18 October from 11:15 am to 12:15 pm as part of the public SXSW Sydney Unlocked program. This session is set as a live one hour gameplay showcase, with Davis playing through a section of the game while fielding questions and sharing development anecdotes.
Now Campaign Director at Sucker Punch on Ghost of Yōtei, where he leads mission design and open world gameplay, Rob Davis brings more than two decades of experience across PlayStation, Xbox, Electronic Arts and Apple. His credits include God of War (2018), God of War Ragnarök and The Saboteur. He began at Brisbane studios Krome and Pandemic before moving to Los Angeles in 2008.
