Once one of the PlayStation platforms’ casual sporting game flagships, the Everybody’s Golf series has now arrived on multiple platforms. Bandai Namco Entertainment and developer HYDE have released Everybody’s Golf Hot Shots worldwide on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam. The new entry in the long-running golf series, also known as Hot Shots Golf, brings back the three-button shot system and adds expanded character options, modes and online features.
The game sets to make the golf genre of game easy to learn, yet challenging to master. Players aim their shot, press the button three times to set power and accuracy, then try to read the course as dynamic weather and time-of-day changes come into play.
Everybody’s Golf Hot Shots aims to learn into flexible play, letting you tune stats, clubs and balls to suit each character. The roster is the biggest to date with more than 25 playable golfers, and PAC-MAN returns as an unlockable. Caddies can be paired with your golfer to offer detailed tips and support skills, while Challenge Mode stacks solo tournaments that unlock new characters, scenarios and larger events as you progress. A World Tour spans 10 regions and features character interactions tailored to each player.
For something less traditional, the new Wacky Golf mode adds course obstacles and variant rules that shake up the formula. It works in solo or multiplayer and includes several rule sets such as Colorful, Scramble, Survival Golf and Boom Golf.
