Following its debut as a demo during Steam Next Fest, BALL x PIT is officially set to launch on Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on 15 October 2025, with a Nintendo Switch 2 native version planned for release later in 2025.
Developed by Kenny Sun and Friends, BALL x PIT sets out to blend brick-breaking action with roguelite survival and base-building mechanics. At its core, BALL x PIT challenges players to survive relentless waves of enemies using a variety of projectiles that can be evolved, upgraded, and fused together. The game’s Ball Fusion system allows for over 60 different ball types to be equipped and combined, leading to hundreds of possible synergies and strategies. Players are encouraged to experiment, discovering powerful and sometimes unexpected combinations along the way.
Outside of the pit, players can grow their base, New Ballbylon, by constructing more than 70 unique buildings. These structures offer gameplay bonuses, unlock new power-ups and characters, and enable players to assign heroes to automate resource generation while they continue exploring deeper levels.
Each region within the pit presents its own hazards and enemy types, ranging from deserts to frozen caverns and forests, culminating in battles against challenging bosses. Throughout the adventure, it’s also possible to recruit new treasure hunters, each offering upgradable mechanics that can dramatically alter gameplay approaches.
A demo for BALL x PIT is currently available on PC.
