Neon Noodles, the cyberpunk kitchen-automation puzzler originally released on PC, is ready to serve a fresh course on consoles from 16 July 2025. Independent publisher Eastasiasoft and solo developer Vivid Helix have confirmed that the title is heading to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch, complete with full controller support.
Set in a dystopian future where food equals power, Neon Noodles challenges players to design and perfect intricate production lines for more than 250 international dishes. Your mechanical cooks will juggle over 400 ingredients as they assemble everything from ramen and bibimbap to paella and guacamole, all within an open-ended sandbox inspired by the automation classics of Zachtronics.
Players step into the shoes of an amnesiac recruit within a Criminal Rehabilitation Program whose goal is to climb the corporate ladder of the eponymous Neon Noodles mega-kitchen. Mastering each puzzle involves recording the movements of robotic chefs, refining their routines, and optimising every tile of factory space to shave precious seconds off production times. Alongside its head-scratching logic challenges, the story teases a deeper conspiracy behind the world’s most coveted meals.
Commenting on the game, Radu Muresan, founder of Vivid Helix shared:
I designed Neon Noodles with controller support from the start, so players could flexibly create and optimise the smallest, fastest (or simply the prettiest) cooking layouts in a truly cyberpunk future. The idea actually came to me after playing Overcooked and thinking, ‘I want this… but without having to talk to anyone.’ So instead, you get to program robots!
