PQube and developer Crinkle Cut Games have rolled out the first console demo for Discounty, giving PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S owners a hands-on look at the supermarket management sim set in the harbour town of Blomkest. A Nintendo Switch version of the demo is scheduled to follow on 31 July, while the PC build remains available on Steam for those who prefer mouse and keyboard.
The trial lets prospective shopkeepers stock shelves, tweak store layouts and meet the locals before the full game launches. To ease new hires into life behind the register, the studio has also produced a short “Employee Training” video series that introduces core mechanics in bite-sized segments.
Digital pre-orders opened alongside the demo and carry a twenty-per-cent discount across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Switch. Steam users can add the title to their wishlists now and will receive the same price break when the game goes live. Collectors who prefer a shelf copy can place physical pre-orders for the Switch and PS5 editions through select retailers.
Discounty casts players as the inheritor of a modest corner shop, tasked with turning it into the town of Blomkest’s go-to grocery stop. Beyond balancing supply and demand, managers will negotiate trade deals, personalise the aisles and build relationships – friendly or otherwise – with townsfolk whose opinions can shape business fortunes.
