The inZOI development team at KRAFTON has today confirmed that the inZOI ModKit, an official tool designed to make modding more accessible, will be released via the Epic Games Store in late May 2025. The update will also include the game’s first modding features, with further additions scheduled throughout the year.
The initial version of the ModKit will allow users to download representative meshes (in FBX format) and Json data files for outfit sets and standard furniture. These assets can be edited to alter in-game elements, such as changing the effectiveness of a bed or the duration of a specific gameplay buff. Additional assets are planned for future updates.
To support asset creation, official plugins for Maya and Blender will also be introduced, enabling users to incorporate downloaded inZOI meshes into their existing workflows. These assets can then be imported into the ModKit and turned into mod projects using Unreal Engine’s plugin format.
The ModKit will also integrate with CurseForge, providing creators the ability to upload and share their mods. Players will be able to browse and download mods through an in-game CurseForge interface.

Beyond the May launch, KRAFTON has outlined a broader modding update roadmap for the remainder of 2025:
September 2025: Modding will expand to include character features such as faces and hair, as well as structural elements like doors, fences, pillars, and windows. This update will also enable the creation of interaction-based content including conversations, voice lines, rewards, and motions.
December 2025: Most outfits will become moddable, and players will gain the ability to edit interaction scripts and access localisation tools, paving the way for more complex and varied content.
KRAFTON has stated that a formal modding policy, covering usage guidelines, restrictions, IP rights, and monetisation, will be published on the official inZOI website in mid-May.
