FromSoftware and Bandai Namco Entertainment have officially launched Elden Ring Nightreign, a standalone multiplayer action survival game set within the Elden Ring universe. Now available globally, the title introduces players to Limveld, a newly created setting filled with environmental hazards, hostile enemies, and intense cooperative player-versus-environment (PvE) combat.
Playable solo or in three-player squads (the game being designed around the three player groups), Elden Ring Nightreign challenges players to survive through a three-day and night cycle. Each day brings dynamic gameplay changes, with players forced to make strategic choices between exploration and combat in an environment that evolves between sessions. The shifting nature of the map includes fluctuating biomes, enemy types, and gear availability, adding replayability and unpredictability to each run.
Players can choose from eight different Nightfarers, each offering distinct weapons and abilities. Success depends on the ability to cooperate and adapt as players face a closing circle known as the Night’s Tide and engage in boss battles — including encounters with enemies from previous FromSoftware titles. On the third day of each session, players face off against a Nightlord, a newly created boss unique to Nightreign.
Even in defeat, players are rewarded. Failed runs grant relics that can be used to customise and enhance Nightfarers for future expeditions. The game also features narrative elements that gradually reveal more about the characters and world of Nightreign.
Elden Ring Nightreign is available in Standard and Deluxe digital editions, as well as a physical Collector’s Edition. It can be played on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
