SEGA has confirmed that Sonic Rumble will officially launch worldwide on 8 May 2025. Promising an engaging and content-rich experience for fans of the franchise, the game will be available on mobile platforms via the App Store and Google Play, with a PC version also in the works via Steam.
At launch, Sonic Rumble will include several new gameplay systems aimed at adding depth and personalisation to each session. A key addition is the introduction of character skills, with each playable character equipped with multiple skill slots. This system allows players to experiment with different combinations, tailoring their strategies and gameplay approach to suit their individual preferences. Another new feature debuting with the global release is the introduction of crews. Players will be able to form and join teams, working together to tackle challenges and navigate obstacles.
Pre-registration for Sonic Rumble is currently open and will remain so until the game’s release. Those who pre-register will be eligible for various in-game rewards that scale with the number of sign-ups. These include exclusive character skins such as one based on Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Chao-themed stickers and companions, and rings to spend in-game. These bonuses will be offered at no additional cost to pre-registered players.
