The Pokémon Company has confirmed new wave of content is coming to Pokémon TCG Pocket this March, with Shiny Pokémon making their long-awaited debut and the launch of the app’s first ranked season. As part of the update, a themed digital booster pack titled Shining Revelry will be available from 27 March 2025, bringing with it fresh cards, exclusive cosmetics, and a new way to play.
At the heart of Shining Revelry are the newly introduced Shiny Pokémon cards—visually enhanced versions of fan-favourites like Charizard ex, Lucario ex, and Pachirisu. These cards will feature a sparkling finish unique to the digital format, activated when the card is tilted. Players will be able to collect them through regular booster openings and the wonder pick feature. Alongside the card releases, collectors can also look forward to a Shiny Charizard-themed display board and binder launching on 1 April.
In addition to the new cards, the update kicks off Pokémon TCG Pocket’s first ranked season on 28 March. Running through to 27 April, this competitive mode will match players based on skill and reward them with seasonal emblems to display on their profiles. For those just starting out, a limited-time set of ex Starter Deck missions will also be available during the same period. By completing challenges, players can earn a ticket to unlock one of nine starter decks, which are then added directly to their card collection.
