While it hasn’t been the heavy hitting virtual reality peripheral that Sony Interactive Entertainment might have been expected, although does now have PC support with an adapter, PlayStation Australia has announced a price reduction for the PlayStation VR2 (PS VR2) in Australia. As of this month, the virtual reality system will now have a recommended retail price of $649.95 AUD, which includes the PS VR2 headset, PS VR2 Sense controllers, and stereo headphones. Availability and pricing changes may vary by retailer.
Players can also expand their library through the PS VR2 PC Adapter, sold separately, which provides an alternate means of accessing the range of virtual reality games available on Steam.
Alongside the price reduction, a recent update has introduced low-latency hand tracking to PS VR2. This feature allows developers to create more immersive experiences by tracking hand movements using the headset’s built-in cameras. One of the first titles to support this functionality is Waltz of the Wizard.
