Blizzard Entertainment has announced the March of the Goblins event for Diablo IV, running from 5 March at 5:00 AM AEDT until 11 March AEDT / UTC+8. During this limited-time event, Treasure Goblins and their kin will be more abundant across Sanctuary, providing players with increased opportunities to earn rewards, gain Reputation, and collect valuable loot.
Throughout the event, players will encounter larger groups of Treasure Goblins, discover Greed Shrines, and face Avarice, the Gold-Cursed World Boss, with enhanced Goblin activity. Defeating these elusive creatures will contribute to Goblin Slaying Ranks, unlocking progressively greater rewards.
The event also introduces several new Goblin variants, which will remain in both the Eternal and Seasonal Realms after March of the Goblins concludes. These variants include:
- Odious Ector – Drops crafting materials, including Obducite in Torment tiers.
- Gilded Baron – Specialises in gold, dropping large amounts of coins and Aberrant Cinders during Helltides.
- Glittering Prym – Carries gems, Runes, and Scattered Prisms.
- Curious Murl – Recognisable by its purple hue, this Goblin hoards Obols.
- Gelatinous Syrus – Splits into multiple Goblins when defeated, dropping Legendary items and more.
- Fancy Old Fedric – A rare and powerful Goblin, offering Mythic Unique items and a Resplendent Spark for those who manage to track it down.
