Sekai Project is set to release the “bullet heaven” action game Seed of Heroes on both Steam and Epic Games digital storefronts today. The game, developed by Bangkok-based Vermillion Digital, will also be showcased at Tokyo Game Show, appearing alongside M.A.S.S. Builder at Sekai Project’s booth in the Indie Game Area.
This is the second project from Vermillion Digital, known for its 2019 release of M.A.S.S. Builder, developing Seed of Heroes through their secondary development team. Development by a second development team was to ensure that the development of this game, didn’t impede upon the still-in-Early-Access development of M.A.S.S. Builder.
Set in a Norse mythology-inspired world, Seed of Heroes tasks players with assembling a team of heroes to fight against waves of enemies and bosses. The game’s ultimate goal is for players to prove their worth and earn a seat in Valhalla, as Ragnarok approaches.
Key features of Seed of Heroes include:
- Hero Selection: Players can build a party of heroes, each with unique attacks and leadership abilities. Only the party leader can take damage, encouraging strategic selection and formation.
- Grid-Based Gameplay: The game features a grid stage system where boss attacks and special treasures are tied to the grid, requiring players to learn and dodge intricate attack patterns.
- Adjustable Formations: Players can adjust their party’s formation and concentrate their attacks on a single point to deal with overwhelming enemy forces.
- Streamer Mode: A mode specifically designed for streamers, allowing viewers to vote for treasures or send waves of enemies, providing increased rewards.
