Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced that their narrative-driven action-adventure game Unknown 9: Awakening, developed by the team at Reflector Entertainment, is set to launch on 18th October 2024. The game will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
The game follows the story of Haroona, a young woman with a unique connection to the Fold, a mysterious parallel dimension from which she draws immense power. Players will navigate Haroona’s journey as she uses her abilities to protect humanity’s best-kept secrets. Haroona is portrayed by Anya Chalotra, who brings the character to life in a recently released live-action trailer (available to the left).
Reflecting on her role, Chalotra expressed her enthusiasm for the project:
I know the adventure we’re crafting will resonate with a lot of people. Unknown 9: Awakening is very special, I know gamers will feel that. We were able to build and create a space that was safe and open to watch and learn, and I truly cherish my time with each incredible actor and the brilliant Unknown 9 team.
