Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising Gains Beatrix as Playable (DLC) Character in Version 1.40

Continuing to expand their roster of characters in fighting game Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising, publisher CyGames and developer Arc System Works have rolled out their Version 1.40 update to the fighting game – which introduces the new playable character Beatrix, and additional in-game content included with Battle Pass Round 4, along with the sale of a new character costume (Lancelot’s “Knight’s Finery”) and System Voice Set 2.

New Character: Beatrix

Unfortunately for some, the inclusion of Beatrix is not free. Instead, she is available as a DLC character priced at €7.99 OR through owning the GBVSR Character Pass 1 or GBVSR Deluxe Character Pass 1. As the sixth DLC character for Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising, purchasing this character gains you access to the following:

Playable Character: Beatrix
Premium Avatar: Beatrix
Badge: Beatrix
Weapon Cutout: Embrasque Sword
Figure Studio poses 1–6 and expressions 1–7 for Beatrix
SSR Character Weapon Draw Ticket for the Granblue Fantasy original mobile game – Limited to PS4/PS5 version purchases only

Beatrix is voiced by Jennifer Losi in English, and Aya Hirano in Japanese.

Battle Pass Round 4

Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising Gains Beatrix as Playable (DLC) Character in Version 1.40 5

As part of Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising’s fourth major battle pass, you can play-to-earn and pay-to-play-to-earn a range of goodies including character illustrations, music, badges, trophies and a new lobby avatar, shark. Those who opt to pay for the Premium Battle Pass Round 4 DLC will also be eligible to receive even more items, including an Indigo Witch costume for Beatrix, in addition to exclusive character colours and weapon skins.

New DLC Costume: Knight’s Finery (Lancelot)

Priced at €4.99, CyGames have begun offering costumes for players to use both in-battle and the figure studio. For those who enjoy using Lancelot in battle, you can now nab yourself the Character Costume: Knight’s Finery (Lancelot) DLC, which has a very butler-y charm to it.

New DLC System Voices

And continuing the new wave of DLC being offered, a new system voice set (System Voice Set 2) is now available to purchase, unlocking character system voices for characters included in Character Pass 1 (Lucilius, Vane, Beatrix, and two unannounced characters). This is priced at €8.99, but does come with the caveat that character system voices for 2B are not included.
