Reverse: 1999 Version 1.4 Update Goes Live: The Prisoner in the Cave

Bluepoch Games has launched Phase One of the Ancient Greece-themed update for the time-travel strategic RPG Reverse: 1999. Titled “The Prisoner in the Cave,” this update is now available on iOS, Android, and PC platforms as a free-to-play gacha and microtransactions supported game. It introduces players to the new main storyline’s Chapter 5 and a special storyline, both of which can be accessed for free.

In Version 1.4 Phase One, players embark on an adventure with characters such as Timekeeper Vertin and arcanists Sonetto, Regulus, and Liliya to an island untouched by the “Storm”. This phase of the update unveils the first of three new game modes, “The Three Doors,” where players solve 3D puzzles to obtain Clear Drops.

This update also introduces a new playable character, a mathematical genius known as 37, a mathematical genius who offers a unique perspective on the game’s world, viewing everything through the lens of numbers. 37, classified as a 6-star, Star-type character dealing Mental damage, becomes available for players alongside the rerun of Pickles’ banner, “Thus Spoke the Border Collie”.

The launch of this update offers players an array of new rewards, including the opportunity to claim up to 20 Unilogs and various growth materials through sign-in events. Players can also select a free 5-star character of their choice from the general summoning pool in the “Carnival Invitation” event.

Looking ahead to the second half of Version 1.4, set to launch next month, the update will introduce two additional gameplay modes: the boss rush challenge “Mane’s Bulletin” starting March 7, and “Anecdote” on March 11, offering deeper insights into characters like Charlie and Oliver Fog. Additionally, a new 6-star arcanist named 6 will be introduced, further expanding the game’s character roster.
