Nippon Ichi Software America has announced they are continuing their work on bringing non-PC versions of the RPG Maker series to international audiences, confirming plans to release Gotcha Gotcha Games’ RPG Maker With in 2024 on the Nintendo Switch, and 2025 on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The game, or rather, accessible suite of developer tools, aims to provide an ultimate toolset for game creation, featuring user-friendly tools, intuitive controls, and the ability to share projects online.
RPG Maker With represents the latest entry in the RPG Maker series, offering an enhanced range of tools and improved accessibility. The interface is designed to accommodate users of all skill levels, enabling both novices and experienced game developers to easily create games ranging from simple to complex. This installment introduces the capability for players to share not only their finished games but also custom assets and work-in-progress projects – a staple for the PC flagships, but a first for the RPG Maker series on console platforms.
Key features of the game include the ease of starting a project, with options tailored to both beginners and professionals, and the encouragement of community engagement through the sharing and playing of creations online.
