Video game publisher Aksys Games has laid out their plans for the coming months and year, outlining a number of new video game acquisitions. You can read about all of these below:
Tokyo Xanadu eX+
Slated for release in June 2024, the Nihon Falcom developed action-RPG is making its way to the Nintendo Switch. The game is set in a Tokyo that, a decade after being devastated by a colossal earthquake, harbors a sinister secret world known as Eclipse. Players will engage in a battle to protect peace and uncover the mysteries behind the earthquake and the shadowy Eclipse.
Accompanying the game, Aksys Games will release a 4-CD set featuring all 88 songs from the Tokyo Xanadu eX+ soundtrack, available exclusively on the Aksys Online Store.
Despera Drops
Slated to release in 2025 on the Nintendo Switch, Despera Drops is a narrative-driven adventure game following Mika Amamine, a university student studying abroad in Italy, who becomes entangled in a murder incident and subsequently a fugitive along with six other criminals. The game delves into mysteries surrounding Mika’s unique “power,” the identity of their pursuers, and the murder that initiated their ordeal. Players will navigate through a blend of suspense and intrigue as they seek to unravel the truth and reclaim normalcy.
Radiant Tale -Fanfare-
Later this year, players can look forward to Radiant Tale -Fanfare- on the Nintendo Switch, which offers an extension to the ‘Radiant Tale’ universe. This fandisk includes all-new stories that follow the happy endings of the five love interests from the original game, new routes for two side characters, and a collection of mini-episodes that enhance the main story’s events.

Tales from Toyotoki: Arrival of the Witch
Also scheduled for release later this year on the Nintendo Switch is Tales from Toyotoki: Arrival of the Witch. The game follows protagonist Hikaru Nishime, who travels to live with his grandfather on a remote island, but discovers to his dismay that his grandfather has gone abroad. While looking for a place to sleep, Hikaru meets Lilun, a witch who is visiting the island for certain reasons, and as the two decide to forge a path together, their magical story unfolds.
Virche Evermore -EpiC: Lycoris-
Bringing the list of new announcements to an end is Virche Evermore -EpiC: Lycoris-, which again, is also schedule for release on the Nintendo Switch later this year. Players will return to the island of Arpéchéle where, surrounded by the sea and black flowers of misfortune called Lycoris Noirge, humans are cursed to die by age 23. Five new tales further explore the world of Virche Evermore. Experience the new despair and salvation that awaits Ceres and her suitors.
