While the recently released Nintendo Switch exclusive rhythm game Samba de Amigo: Party Central was relatively meh, SEGA also had an alternate version in the works seeking to take players on Meta Quest 3, Meta Quest 2 and Meta Quest Pro into an immersive rhythm based world in Samba de Amigo: Virtual Party.
According to SEGA:
Shake and groove along to iconic songs from artists such as The Jonas Brothers, Carly Rae Jepsen, Ariana Grande and more, now in virtual reality! Even better, Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest Pro owners can experience the MR Party, where you can turn your room into a party venue, or the MR Multiverse, where you can explore different verses from your world.
For a limited time, those who purchase the game digitally via the Meta Store will gain access to the Virtual Singer track “The Vampire” on the store! A “MATSUKENSAMBAII Style Costume” and “Meta Quest 3 Pack” are also free to download on the store.
Promoted features of Samba de Amigo: Virtual Party include:
- Get up and shake it in virtual reality with smooth motion controls that make the game fun for everyone.
- Groove to 40 hit songs from the world’s most popular genres, with more arriving as post-launch DLCs!
- Test your technique in a variety of minigames and challenges.
- Strut that style by customizing your character with unique costumes and accessories.
- Hit the dance floor with up to 8 players and 12 other Amigos online in World Party mode.
- Show the world what you’ve got by competing on the online leaderboards.
