Everyone deserves to play games, and while each console’s base controllers are designed to be ergonomic and functional for a majority of people, this doesn’t mean that it is usable for everyone. Like other console manufacturers, Sony Interactive Entertainment have been working on their own accessible controller, dubbed the ‘Access Controller’. In recent days, the company has shared a first glimpse of its packaging and a controller design story video, the latter of which you can view below:
Sony Interactive Entertainment has also confirmed a collaboration with Logitech, where they will offer an official accessory kit dubbed the Logitech G Adaptive Gaming Kit for Access controller. According to SIE:
While the Access controller offers an “out of the box” solution for many players, this Logitech kit is an optional supplementary kit for players who want further customisation, based on our conversations with the accessibility community.
