When Persona 3 Reload launches next year, the members of S.E.E.S. will not be voiced by their long-time voice actors, but instead have the roles covered by other voice actors – including Heather Gonzalez (Yukari Takeba), Alejandro Saab (Akihiko Sanada), Suzie Yeung (Fuuka Yamagishi), Zeno Robinson (Junpei Iori), Aleks Le (Protagonist) and Allegra Clark (Mitsuru Kirijo).
But with the release of the remake’s newest trailer, available to the left, more names have come out of the woodworks for this new English voice cast – including a notable returning cast member. Via numerous posts from voice actors, we have had the following confirmed:
Daman Mills is Takaya Sakaki
Chris Hackney is Jin
Merit Leighton is Chidori
Aleks Le as Pharos
These posts are in addition to two more confirmations. Jake Green will be voicing Shuji Ikutski, while even more notably, Tara Platt with be reprising her role as Elizabeth, despite her role as Mitsuru being provided to Allegra Clark. Now, if similar voice actor changes were announced for the Japanese version, I would be questioning whether this game was taking the route taken by another certain RPG in recent years, where this was not a retelling of the original game, but something more… perhaps something that has to do with the Protagonist and his role after the events of Persona 3.
