Serenity Forge and Meridiem Games have disclosed additional information about their upcoming boxed release of Absolute Drift, scheduled to be released on the Nintendo Switch by the end of 2023. Developed by Funselektor Labs Inc. and published by Serenity Forge, Absolute Drift is pitched as an artfully designed racing game that pushes players to master the art of drifting.
The special boxed Premium Edition of Absolute Drift is under the care of Meridiem Games, which will manage the design, manufacturing, and distribution process across European specialist stores. The Premium Edition aims to captivate fans with an exclusive case boasting unique artwork and a car window sticker.
Within the game, Absolute Drift challenges players to perfect the art of drifting. It provides Free-Roam areas for skill enhancement, as well as a range of events such as Driftkhana, Drifting, and Mountain Drifting. Players can pit their skills against the ‘ghosts’ of the world’s top drifters, track their standing on online leaderboards, or even scrutinize their friends’ best runs.
The game boasts six customisable drifting cars which can be driven across 24 different levels and three different game modes. This is in addition to five distinct free-driving areas – including airports, docks, and a floating metropolis. Furthermore, Absolute Drift seeks to offer three hours of electronic music and Drum & Bass from C41 and Nyte.
