The Paris-based indie development team Pastagames together with publishing powerhouses Devolver Digital has announced a new game by the title KarmaZoo, pitched as a “chaotic, joyful multiplayer platformer” that will see up to 10 players working to complete levels. Only difference is that different from the competitive elements encouraged by many multiplayer platformers, it seeks to enable players to focus on “connection, cooperation, and generally just being a cool, nice person”
Players can choose from 50 adorable pixelated animal avatars with unique abilities to collaborate with their team. Players are encouraged to be a team player – even if it means heroically sacrificing themselves – enabling you to reap the reward of sweet, sweet Karma.

KarmaZoo offers Loop mode, where players team up to complete increasingly difficult levels that adapt to the team size and character choices. Every good action rewards players with Karma, which can be used to unlock new characters. For competitive players, Totem mode allows up to 8 participants to compete in fast-paced minigames.
KarmaZoo boasts accessible gameplay, cross-platform support, an emote-based communication system, and 22 language options. The game is set to launch in 2023 for a wide range of platforms, including the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and Windows PC via both the Steam and Epic Game Storefronts.
